#16 Lady Eagles close out trip to Florida with a split; LHU sits at 11-3 on the year

ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 16 Lock Haven University softball closed out the final day of play at the NTC Spring Games with a split.

Lock Haven opened the day with a 3-1 loss to Saint Joseph's College, but rebounded with a thrilling 4-3 win over The College of Saint Rose.

Sarah Morse (Dover, N.H./Dover) recorded five strikeouts in the loss to Saint Joseph's. She only allowed six hits in the complete-game effort.

Kelsey Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Bridgette Clarke (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) was 1-for-3 with a RBI.

Nicole Smith (Milton, Pa./Milton) picked up the win over Saint Rose.

In the bottom of seventh inning, Clarke hit a ground ball up the middle that drove in Alyssa Smith (Barrington, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas), who was pinch running to give the Lady Eagles the thrilling walk-off win.

Alicia Cacciotti (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) was 2-for-4 win a RBI.

The Lady Eagles return to the site of their two National Championships in Salem, Va. on Friday, March 18. They'll play five games in City of Champions over the weekend.
