LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University baseball team (16-15, 6-8 PSAC West) dropped two games today against Mercyhurst College (24-9,10-6 PSAC West) at home.
The Bald Eagles lost the first game 10-2 and dropped the second game 4-3 in the Lock Haven's first game back in over a week.
Matt McCamley (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) led the way for the Bald Eagles in game one.
McCamley went 2-for-3 with two singles.
Cody Young (Bellefonte, Pa/Bellefonte) and Corey Dorman (Mifflinburg, Pa./Alleghany College of Maryland) both went 1-for-4, with a run scored.
Freshman
Ryan Watkins (Beech Creek, Pa./Central Mountain) went 1-for-1 with another pinch-hit single in the seventh inning.
Andrew Simonik (Scott Township, Pa./Lakeland) got the start for Lock Haven. Simonik went 5.2 innings. He struck out three batters.
Lock Haven lost a tough game two as the Bald Eagles scored three runs on eight hits.
Jordan Yohn (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) pitched a strong game two for The Haven.
Yohn had five strikeouts, while giving up three earned runs in six innings of work.
Dorman continued to hit the ball well in game two. He went 2-for-4 with one RBI
Kevin Cressman (Huntingdon, Pa./Mansfield University) had a solid game two. Cressman went 2-for-3.
Senior
Brian Kochik (Snow Show, Pa./Bald Eagle) also went 2-for-3 with a RBI.
Lock Haven is back in action tomorrow (Saturday, April 16) as the Bald Eagles travel to Mercyhurst College for a doubleheader. The first game starts at 1 p.m.
