No stats for Game 2, not an official game

MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team (24-10. 10-5 PSAC Central) went yard three times and the Lady Eagles downed host Mansfield University (9-17, 2-11 PSAC Central) 7-3 in game one of today's conference doubleheader.

Game two was called in the third inning because of heavy rain. The score was 3-3, but it will not go down as an official game.

Sarah Morse (Dover, N.H./Dover) was tough in the pitcher's circle and Brittany Muthard (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) was 2-for-3 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBIs.

Nicole Smith (Milton, Pa./Milton) hit a grand slam in the seventh to make it 7-3.

LHU went up 2-0 in the third off a two-run bomb from Muthard.

Muthard led off the sixth with a solo shot.

Alicia Cacciotti (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) was 3-for-3 at the plate.

Morse went all seven in the circle and struck out five on the way to her 12th win of the year.

Lock Haven has clinched its seventh straight trip to the PSAC Tournament, but the PSAC Central seeds will not be finalized until after Bloomsburg and IUP play tomorrow.
