SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Lock Haven University baseball team (17-20, 7-13 PSAC West) split a doubleheader today at SRU (26-14, 14-6 PSAC West).
LHU won the first game 9-8 in eight innings, but dropped the second, 5-0.
The Bald Eagles jumped out to an early lead in game one, but a rally in the bottom of the seventh by SRU put the game in extra innings.
Lock Haven had clutch hitting in the eighth, to collect the victory for the Bald Eagles.
Senior
Matt McCamley (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) had an outstanding game one at the plate for The Haven. McCamley went 3-for-4 with two home runs. He homered in his first two plate performances.
McCamley had six RBIs in game one. He also had the game-winning single in the top of the eighth for the Bald Eagles.
Corey Dorman (Mifflinburg, Pa./Alleghany College of Maryland) went 2-for-3 with a RBI and a walk.
Brian Kochik (Snow Shoe, Pa./Bald Eagle) went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, a walk, and a RBI.
Shortstop
Cody Young (Bellefonte, Pa/Bellefonte) went 2-for-4 with three runs scored.
Jordan Yohn (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) got the start on the mound for the Bald Eagles. Yohn went five innings, collecting four strikeouts, while giving up four runs.
Coming in as relief and collecting the win for Lock Haven's pitching staff was
Alec Jacob (Newtown, Pa./Pennsbury). Jacob went 1.2 innings and struck out one batter.
In game two LHU lost 5-0.
After picking up the win in game one, Alec Jocob got the start on the mound for Lock Haven in game two.
Jacob went 3 innings while allowing three runs on six hits. He struck out one Rock batter.

Brandon Renoll (Hanover, Pa./Hanover).
Renoll went 3 innings, while giving up two runs on three hits.
Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) got the only two hits for Lock Haven in game two. The freshman went 2-for-2.
Lock Haven is back in action Friday April 29 as the Bald Eagles travel to Clarion University to start the last series of PSAC play for the 2011 season. The first game starts at 1 p.m.
