LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (1-4) fell to visiting Kent State (2-3) 3-2 today in a non-conference match.
The Lady Eagles trailed 2-0 at halftime, but came storming back in the second half to make it a very tight game.
Kristi Shepps (Willow Street, Pa./Penn Manor) led the way with both of Lock Haven's goals.
Shepps' first goal came off of a cross from
Leslie Ahern (Getzville, N.Y./Williamsville North) in the 42nd minute.
Shepps added her second goal in the 60th minute on a cross by
Kelly Harsh (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor).
Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) had five saves for the Lady Eagles.
Kent State improves to 2-3 with the win, while Lock Haven falls to 1-4
