SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (0-12, 0-9 PSAC) had two players score in double-figures, but it wasn't enough as the Bald Eagles dropped their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West opener to host Slippery Rock University (9-4, 6-3 PSAC) 84-61 tonight.
Andre Rivers (Philadelphia/Girard College) was one of two players in double figures as he matched his career-high with 16 points.
Terrell Johnson (Philadelphia/Imhotep Charter) netted 15 points to help pace The Haven's offensive effort. He also had a team-high four assists.
Eight different Bald Eagles had a rebound including
Muhammad Amin (Philadelphia/Math, Civics and Science), who had a team-high four.
Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East) chipped in with eight points and was one four players with three rebounds for LHU.
SRU was led by three players in double-figures including Tabari Perry, who had 22 points.
Slippery Rock led by 15 with just over seven minutes to go in the opening half and led by 12 at the break, 35-23.
Lock Haven returns to the court on Saturday, January 14 at 3 p.m. at Edinboro University.
