SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (6-6, 5-4 PSAC) downed Slippery Rock (4-9, 1-8 PSAC) 59-46 on the road tonight in the first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West matchup of the season.

Kacie Hershey (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara) led the way for LHU as she posted her first double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds.

Mahogany Spence (Scranton, Pa./G.A.R.) scored a game-high 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished out a team-high four assists.

Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) netted 13 points as she made a career-high seven free throws. She also pulled down six rebounds.

Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) had a strong game defensively as she pulled down seven defensive rebounds and tallied a game-high four steals. She added six points.

Heather McHugh (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) netted four points, tied a career-high with eight rebounds and set a career-high with two blocks.

Slippery Rock was led by Erinne Cunningham who scored 14 points.

The Lady Eagles are back in action Saturday (January 14) when they travel to No. 5 Edinboro. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
