Lady Eagles fall at #18 IUP 62-49

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (7-9, 6-7 PSAC) fell to No. 18 Indiana (Pa.) (15-2, 11-2 PSAC) 62-49 tonight in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West matchup.

Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) led the Lady Eagles offensively with 19 points on 7-for-15 shooting.  She added six rebounds.

Heather McHugh (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) was the only other Lady Eagle in double figures with 12 points.

Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and dished out a team-high four assists.

Kacie Hershey (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara) scored five points, grabbed five rebounds and tied a career-high with three blocks.

IUP won the game from three-point land, where they shot 10-for-23 (43.5%).

Indiana (Pa.) was led by Marita Mathe, who scored 21 points off of the bench including seven three pointers.

The Lady Eagles are back in action Saturday (January 28) at 1 p.m. when they host Gannon.
