LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (4-6, 3-4 PSAC) fell tonight in a nail-biter 60-59 at home to East Stroudsburg University (5-6, 2-5 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover action.
Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) scored a career and game-high 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting from the field. She drilled four three-pointers and added six rebounds.
Heather McHugh (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) filled up the stat sheet as she had 10 points, four assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block.
Mahogany Spence (Scranton, Pa./G.A.R.) also had a solid performance scoring 10 points and adding four steals, three assists and three rebounds.
The Lady Eagles trailed by 11 early in the second half but came roaring back with a 10-0 run sparked by Hall who drilled a pair of big three's.
LHU held a 59-57 lead in the closing seconds until ESU's Andrea Veres made a layup and drew a foul with 13 seconds to go. She hit the free throw to put the Warriors up 60-59.
ESU was led by Jessica Martin who scored 19 points and Fayola Moise who grabbed 15 rebounds.
The Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow night when they host Kutztown University at 6 p.m.
