Box Score MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (12-9, 7-3 PSAC) fell on the road to Millersville University (8-13, 2-8 PSAC) today, 3-1 in a PSAC East matchup.

After dropping the first set of the match 22-25, The Haven battled back to take the second set 25-15.  LHU could not keep the momentum going however, and fell 26-28 and 27-29 in the third and fourth sets.

Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) led LHU with 20 kills and six aces.  Xuan also was strong defensively, tallying 12 digs in the match.

Bailey Farthing (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) recorded 12 kills for The Haven and Grace Novacek (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) added nine kills of her own.

Alexa Garrity (Boothwyn, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) dished out 45 assists in the match.

Garrity, Farthing and Novacek all had three blocks each for The Haven.

Erin Walsh (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) led the Lady Eagles defensively with 21 digs.

Freshman Jessica Brown (Fawn-Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) chipped in with 12 digs for LHU.

The Lady Eagles are right back in action tomorrow (October 13) when they travel to Shippensburg University for a PSAC East match.  First set is scheduled for 1 p.m.
