Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (10-7, 1-3 A-10) fell to visiting Virginia Commonwealth (10-5, 1-3 A-10) 1-0 today in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
The win is the first-ever for VCU who is playing the A-10 for the first time this season.
After a scoreless first half, VCU's Meaghan Neylon scored the only goal of the match in the 64th minute of play. The goal came off of an assist from Kelsey Scherrer.
Haven goalie
Elaina White (Etters, Pa./Red Lion) made six saves and
Kelly Harsh (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) had three shots as they did everything could to spark the Lady Eagles.
Lock Haven returns to action on Sunday (October 21) vs. Saint Louis (noon).
