Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLARION, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (10-8, 5-2 PSAC) split a pair of matches today at Clarion University in PSAC crossover action.

The Lady Eagles faced two familiar foes today, as they met both Clarion and California (Pa.) in last year's PSAC tournament.

LHU fell to host Clarion in a thrilling five-setter this morning, 3-2 (25-12, 26-28, 13-25, 25-17 & 12-15).

Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) led LHU with 19 kills in the match.

Bailey Farthing (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) and Grace Novacek (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) controlled the front line for The Haven.  Farthing recorded 13 kills and five blocks and Novacek had nine kills and a team-high nine blocks.

Alexa Garrity (Boothwyn, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) dished out 47 assists for The Haven and added five blocks of her own.

Erin Walsh (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem) had a team-high 22 digs and three aces for LHU.

Xuan also chipped in 14 digs and Bethany Burns (Erie, Pa./McDowell) added 11.

The Lady Eagles bounced back in their second match of the day to beat California (Pa.) in a rematch of last year's PSAC Championship, 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 18-25 & 25-14).

Xuan again led the way for The Haven with 17 kills, 14 digs and two aces.

Garrity posted a strong all-around match with 45 assists and a team-high three aces.

Walsh again led LHU with 22 digs and Monica Brown (Omaha, Neb./Iowa Western Community College) added 10.

Farthing and Alex Brehony (Mertztown, Pa./Brandywine Heights) led The Haven with four blocks each.

Farthing added nine kills.

Cody Anderson (Johnsonburg, Pa./Johnsonburg) also had nine kills in the match.

The Lady Eagles are right back in action tomorrow with two more PSAC crossover matches at Slippery Rock University.  LHU will play Slippery Rock at 10 a.m. and IUP at 3:30 p.m.
