Hilliard nets career-high 25 points & Ryan pulls down double-double, but Kutztown slips past Haven, 64-62

Box Score KUTZTOWN, Pa. – J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) scored a career-high 25 points and Kelsey Ryan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) recorded the Lady Eagles' first double-double of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Lock Haven University women's basketball team fell to host Kutztown University, 64-62 tonight in PSAC action.

The Lady Eagles (2-6, 0-5 PSAC) led by two at the break, 34-32, but clutch-play down the stretch helped Kutztown (4-4, 3-2 PSAC) hang on for the win.

Hilliard's 25 points were also a game-high. The freshman hit a pair of three's and was 10-of-14 from the field.

Ryan netted 11 points to go along with 11 rebounds.

Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds and added five points in the loss.

Kutztown was led by a trio of players who scored in double-figures including Tanejha Smith, who had 18 points.

Lock Haven returns to action on Sunday, December 30 at 2 p.m. when the Lady Eagles travel to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
