Baker’s career-high 29 points not enough as LHU falls to Mercyhurst, 95-68

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sophomore Anthony Baker (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) of the  Lock Haven University men's basketball team (0-18, 0-15 PSAC) scored a game and career-high 29 points, but it wasn't enough as the Bald Eagles fell to host Mercyhurst University (14-5, 12-3 PSAC) 95-68.

Baker was 9-for-11 from the field and 11-for-15 from the free-throw stripe on the way to his career-night. He also had two steals and a block.

Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East) and Andre Rivers (Philadelphia/Girard College) both netted double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Rivers also had five rebounds.

Julian Bond (Philadelphia/Plymouth Whitemarsh) added nine points and Terrell Johnson (Philadelphia/Imhotep Charter) dished out seven assists.

The Lakers shot 66 percent from the field and led by 15 at the break, 50-35. Four players scored in double figures for Mercyhurst including Terrence Ingram, who had 15 points.

Lock Haven returns home to host Edinboro University on Saturday, February 4 at 3 p.m.
