LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
Junior Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East) scored a career-high 17 points to lead three players in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Lock Haven University men's basketball team (0-20, 0-17 PSAC) fell to Slippery Rock University (14-7, 11-6 PSAC) 72-59 in PSAC West action.

Marshall was 7-of-14 from the field and 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Anthony Baker (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) netted 13 points for LHU and Andre Rivers (Philadelphia/Girard College) added 10.

Both Rivers and Baker had five rebounds for Lock Haven.

Slippery Rock led 44-29 at halftime as Jon Valeriano and Chaquille Pratt combined for 24 points.

Baker led Lock Haven with nine points in the first half. He was 3-for-5 from the field in the opening 20 minutes of the game.

Marshall scored nine of his 17 points in the second half as he helped Lock Haven cut into The Rock lead midway through the half.

Slippery Rock's Valeriano matched Marshall's game-high 17 points.  He was one of four players in double figures scoring for the game.

The Haven men hit the road on Saturday (February 11) for a 5 p.m. clash with California (Pa.) University.
