Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Taylor Kennedy (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Township) scored the game-winning goal with 5:57 left in the first overtime period lifting the Lock Haven University field hockey team (2-1) past visiting Cornell (0-1), 2-1 tonight at Charlotte Smith Field.

Lock Haven went up 1-0 in the 57th minute after Kelly Harsch (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) blasted home a penalty corner shot.

The joy would be short lived however as Cornell fired right back, less than four minutes later and tied the even-tilted affair at 1-1.

The two teams remained scoreless after 70 minutes in their non-conference grudge match, but that left it open for Kennedy's heroics.

Lock Haven goalie Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) was sensational and finished with seven saves.

The Lady Eagles return to action on Sunday, September 2 at Bucknell (2 p.m.).
