Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WHEELING, W.V. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (4-6) went 1-1 in two non-conference matches today, as they split matches with No. 21 Wheeling Jesuit and Urbana.

In their first match of the day, the Lady Eagles fell to host Wheeling Jesuit 3-0.

Alex Brehony (Mertztown, Pa./Brandywine Heights) and Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) led The Haven with seven and six kills, respectively.

Xuan also had eight digs in the match.

Alexa Garrity (Boothwyn, Pa/Cardinal O'Hara) had a strong match, tallying 23 assists.

Erin Walsh (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) recorded a team-high 14 digs.

Bailey Farthing (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) was strong up front for The Haven, recording three blocks.

The Haven bounced back from the early loss to Wheeling Jesuit with a dominant performance against Urbana, sweeping the Blue Knights 3-0.

Farthing was the difference maker up front, recording 10 kills and six blocks in the match.

Cody Anderson (Johnsonburg, Pa./Johnsonburg) also had 10 kills for LHU.

Xuan added eight kills, four blocks and two aces for The Haven.

Garrity had the offense on point, recording 32 assists and a team-high three aces.

Walsh had another strong game with 13 digs and two aces of her own.

The Lady Eagles return to action Tuesday (September 18) when they host Shepherd University in Thomas Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
