LEWISBURG, Pa.  – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (2-2) fell to local-rival Bucknell (2-1) 3-1 today on the road in non-conference action.

Bucknell went up 1-0, 9:30 into the match, but the Lady Eagles were quick to respond.

Less than three minutes later, Nikki Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) tied the match at 1-1 after collecting a loose ball in front of the cage and firing it home.

The game was tied 1-1 at halftime, but the Bison connected on two second half goals to win 3-1.

Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) made three saves for LHU.

Lock Haven returns to action next Saturday (September 8) at Kent State. On Saturday, LHU will play Robert Morris at 1 p.m., before taking on host-Kent State on Sunday at noon.
