Box Score LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Kelsie Minnich (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) and
Molly Urey (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) each scored twice and the Lock Haven University field hockey team cruised past host Rider, 5-2 today in non-conference action.
The match was tied 1-1 at halftime, but the Lady Eagles (7-3) used a four-goal second half to cruise past their former Northeast Conference (NEC) rival, Rider (6-2).
Minnich put LHU up 1-0, 23:19 into the match, but just one minute later Rider knotted the contest at 1-1.
Stephanie Ebersole (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) made it 2-0 LHU in the 39th minute and Urey's first of two goals had The Haven up 3-1.
Urey struck again in the 59th minute and Minninch closed out the scoring in the 59th minute of play.
Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) only played 35 minutes in goal, but made eight saves during the second half.
LHU hosts Indiana tomorrow (Sunday, September 23) at noon.
