Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (7-7, 2-1 PSAC) dropped Mercyhurst 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19) today in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matchup.
Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) and
Bailey Farthing (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) each recorded 11 kills to pace LHU.
Xuan added 15 digs, five assists and three aces and Farthing contributed five digs and a team-high five blocks for The Haven.
Grace Novacek (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and
Alex Brehony (Mertztown, Pa./Brandywine Heights) chipped in with eight and seven kills, respectively.
Alexa Garrity (Boothwyn, Pa/Cardinal O'Hara) dished out 34 assists in the match and added eight digs and five kills.
Erin Walsh (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) led The Haven with 30 digs in the match.
The Lady Eagles return to action Friday (September 28) when they travel to Cheyney for their first PSAC East match of the year.
