LHU edged by #24 Indiana, 2-1

Minnich’s third goal in two games not enough to lift Haven past No. 24 Hoosiers in thrilling non-conference match

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (7-4) was edged by No. 24 Indiana (6-2), 2-1 today in non-conference action at Charlotte Smith Field.

The Hoosiers used a pair of second-half goals to sneak out of town with the win.

LHU went up 1-0 in the 47th minute after Kelsie Minnich (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) knocked home a perfect crossing-pass from Nakira Downes (Bridgetown, Barbados/The Combermere School).

Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Norristown) was tough in goal for Lock Haven and kept the Lady Eagles in the match with nine saves.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, September 29 at noon when the Lady Eagles host Sacred Heart.
