Box Score COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (9-4) picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win today over non-conference foe Georgetown (2-10).
Emily Woods (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville North) put Lock Haven up 1-0 in the 33rd minute and the Lady Eagles clung to that one-goal halftime lead.
The Hoyas however tied the match at 1-1, early in the second half as Annie Wilson found the back of the cage in the 44th minute.
Molly Urey (Dillsburg, Pa. Northern) tallied the game winner in the 48th minute, giving Lock Haven the important road-win.
Elaina White (Etters, Pa./Red Lion) recorded her second consecutive win after back-to-back starts. She made four saves.
Lock Haven returns to action next Saturday, October 6 at 1 p.m. when the Lady Eagles open Atlantic 10 play at home vs. La Salle.
