Bald Eagles drop PSAC West road contest to Clarion

LHU back in action Saturday at CAL

Box Score CLARION, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (5-10, 3-9 PSAC) fell on the road to PSAC West rival Clarion (5-11, 3-9 PSAC) tonight, 81-74.

LHU trailed 38-28 at the halftime break, as Clarion closed the half on a 17-4 run and the Golden Eagles made five second half threes to help hold on to its lead.

Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) scored 13 of his game-high 26 points in the first half.

Hepburn, who entered tonight as the PSAC's leading scorer, shot 9-of-14 from the field and 7-of-9 from the free throw line.  He has now scored at least 20 points in seven straight games.

Nate Walters (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) tied his season-high with 10 points and added five rebounds off the bench.

Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East) scored eight points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Kasheef Festus (Philadelphia/Archbishop Carroll) scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds.

The Bald Eagles stay on the road this Saturday (January 26) when LHU travels to California (Pa.) for a PSAC West matchup.  Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
