Men’s basketball falls in PSAC West road clash with CAL

LHU returns home Wednesday when they host IUP at Thomas Fieldhouse

Box Score CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (5-11, 3-10 PSAC) dropped a PSAC West road matchup this afternoon to California (Pa.) (7-10, 6-7 PSAC), 81-67.

Six Bald Eagles scored at least seven points in the game, led by Kasheef Festus (Philadelphia/Archbishop Carrol), who netted a game-high 18 points.

Festus shot 7-of-10 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) had a solid all-around game for LHU.  Hepburn netted 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists.

Andre Rivers (Philadelphia/Girard College), who made his first start of the season, netted 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting.

PSAC Freshman of the Week, Dave Garcia (Scotrun, Pa./Pocono Mt. East) netted nine points off the bench on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting from the field.

Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East) and Terrell Johnson (Philadelphia/Imhotep Charter) scored eight and seven points, respectively.

Marshall grabbed five boards, while Johnson tallied three steals.

Lock Haven trailed 34-30 at halftime, but CAL used 28 bench points in the second half to hang on for the win.

Quentin Harding led CAL with 15 points.

The Bald Eagles return home on Wednesday (January 30) when LHU hosts IUP in a PSAC West matchup.  Tipoff at Thomas Fieldhouse is set for 8 p.m.
