Volleyball downs West Chester, 3-1

Haven advances to 3-5 in PSAC East play with 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-23) win over Golden Rams

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team downed West Chester 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-23) tonight in PSAC East action.

The Lady Eagles celebrated "Dig Pink" tonight by wearing pink ribbons, shoe laces, warm-ups and jerseys in an effort to promote breast cancer awareness.

LHU (12-8, 3-5 PSAC East) led 2-1 through three sets and made an outstanding comeback in the fourth set to close out the match. The Lady Eagles trailed 23-20 in set four before going on a 5-0 run to seal the victory.

Kaleigh Hudak (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem) led the Lady Eagles with 15 kills. Cody Anderson (Johnsonburg, Pa./Johnsonburg) added 11 kills and two digs.

Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) turned in a solid all-around effort with eight kills and 11 digs in the win.

Bethany Burns (Erie, Pa./McDowell) recorded a match-high 20 digs and Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) dished out 36 assists and added 19 digs.

The Lady Eagles served up five aces in tonight's win.

Lock Haven is right back in action tomorrow morning (October 12) when LHU hosts two PSAC East matches with Cheyney. Tomorrow's first match at Thomas Fieldhouse is set for 10 a.m. with the second match to follow at 11:30 a.m.
