Football drops PSAC East clash with Kutztown, 38-17

Brader rushes for 101 yards and TD in PSAC East loss at home

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University football team (3-7, 2-5 PSAC East) lost to visiting Kutztown University (3-7, 3-4 PSAC East) 38-17 today in PSAC East action.
 
Leading the way for the Bald Eagles was Brand Brader (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty),who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown. Brader carried the ball 19 times on the way to his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game.
 
Quarterback Dillon Mazzoni (Melbourne, Fla./Shippensburg Univ.) saw his first action since Week 6 and he threw a third-quarter TD pass to Frankie Probst (Lock Haven, Pa./Robert Morris Univ.).
 
Caleb Walton (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) made his fourth consecutive start under center and threw for 129 yards. He was 12-for-21 passing before giving way to Mazzoni.
 
Kicker Alex Boumerhi (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) capped Lock Haven's scoring in the fourth quarter with a 46-yard field goal as his impressive season continues. He's 9-for-13 on the season and 5-for-6 from 40-49 yards.
 
Defensively, Lock Haven was led by Janosch Beauchamp (Newville, Pa./Big Spring), who had a game-high 13 tackles. He had seven solo stops and two tackles for a loss.
 
Tony Ballon (Jersey City, N.J./Harrisburg) finished with nine tackles.
 
Leading the way for Kutztown was QB Josh Luckenbuagh who threw for 317 yards and four TDs. Alex Tonnies added 112 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
 
Lock Haven closes out the 2013 season next Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Gannon in PSAC Crossover action.
