Wrestling drops EWL season-finale at #17 Bloomsburg, 30-7

Haven gets wins from Fred Garcia & Bobby Rehm

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.  – The Lock Haven University wrestling team dropped its EWL season-finale tonight (Friday, Feb. 15) at rival and 17th ranked Bloomsburg University, 30-7

Lock Haven (6-6, 1-4 EWL) picked up a pair of wins, but it wasn't enough to upset the Huskies (16-3, 5-0 EWL), who claimed their first ever EWL Dual Meet Title.

Fred Garcia (Donora, Pa./Ringgold) and Bobby Rehm (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) both won for Lock Haven.

Tonight's match started at 149 and the Huskies won the first four matches before Garcia took down Bloom's Andre Petroski, 7-4.

Rehm picked up The Haven's second win after a dominating 9-0 major dec. of Sean Boylan.

Lock Haven is back in action on Saturday, February 23 at 9 a.m. when the Bald Eagles take on Duke at the NWCA Dual Festival, hosted by Franklin & Marshall.

- Lock Haven and Bloomsburg first met in 1939, the Bald Eagles are 41-28 all-time vs. the Huskies.
- Bloomsburg has won nine straight over Lock Haven, including last year's meeting, 27-12 at LHU.
- Lock Haven's last win over Bloom came in 2004, 20-16.
