Women’s Basketball falls in PSAC West clash with Clarion, 87-77

Haven puts three players in double figures, but Clarion uses second-half push to escape Thomas Fieldhouse with road-win

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team had three players score in double figures including 19 points apiece from Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier) and Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock), but it wasn't enough as Clarion used a second-half comeback to beat LHU, 87-77.

Lock Haven (7-17, 4-16 PSAC West) also got 17 points from Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.). Moyer pulled down the double-double as she added 10 rebounds.

Clarion (13-13, 9-11 PSAC West) was led by Raven Jones, who scored a career-high 31 points.

Daugherty was 7-for-12 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from downtown on the way to her 19 points. She also had five rebounds and three steals.

Kelsey Ryan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) added seven points and a team-high 11 rebounds. She also had four assists, two blocks and one steal.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, February 23 at 1 p.m. when the Lady Eagles host Gannon in their 2012-13 season-finale.
