Bald Eagles fall to #24 Gannon on senior day

Festus leads all scorers with 23 points

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (6-18, 4-17 PSAC) fell to No. 24 Gannon (21-6, 15-6 PSAC) this afternoon, 82-69 on senior day at Thomas Fieldhouse.

The Bald Eagles honored their seniors Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East) and Andre Rivers (Philadelphia/Girard College) before the game.

Gannon got off to a quick start and shot 66.7% (18-for-27) in the first half.  The Golden Knights led LHU 43-35 at the break.

LHU got it going to open the second half and cut the GU lead to just four, 43-39 with 19:10 to play.  Gannon answered however, and quickly pushed the lead to double-digits.  Gannon did not trail at all in the game.

Kasheef Festus (Philadelphia/Archbishop Carrol) scored a game-high 23 points for LHU and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.  Festus shot 6-of-9 from the field and went 11-of-15 from the free throw line.

Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) scored 17 points and added five rebounds and four assists.

Terrell Johnson (Philadelphia/Imhotep Charter) netted 10 points for The Haven.

Marshall closed out has final home game with four points, four rebounds and one block and Rivers tallied five points and four rebounds.

Lock Haven closes out the season on Wednesday (February 27) when the Bald Eagles travel to Indiana (Pa.).  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
