Women’s Hoops drops season finale at IUP

Sophomore Sami Lane paces LHU with 14 points

Box Score INDIANA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (7-19, 4-18 PSAC) fell on the road to Indiana (Pa.) (21-7, 18-6 PSAC), 87-49 tonight in PSAC West action.

Tonight marked the final game of the season for the Lady Eagles.

Leading the way for LHU was sophomore Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock).  Lane scored a team-high 14 points in the game and dished out five assists.

Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) netted nine points on the night and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

It was Moyer's third straight game with double-figure rebounds.

Senior Kacie Hershey (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara) scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds and recorded three steals in her final game as a Lady Eagle.

Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier Valley) scored six points and grabbed 10 rebounds for LHU.

IUP shot 49.2% (31-of-63) for the game and all five starters for the Crimson Hawks scored in double-figures.
