Box Score 2 MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Lock Haven University softball team (10-3) split a pair of extra-inning games today at Pfeiffer (11-15).
LHU won game one, 2-1 in eight innings, but dropped game two, 4-3 in eight innings.
Taylor Magee's (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) RBI single in the top of eighth proved to be difference for Lock Haven in game one.
The Lady Eagles trailed, 1-0 after one, but quickly responded in the top of the second after
Kelsey Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) drove in a run to tie the game.
Brianna Jennings (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing) improved to 6-0 in the circle with the game-one win. She worked all eight innings and struck out a pair. Jennings allowed just four hits and the one Pfeiffer-run was unearned.
Bridgette Clarke (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) was 2-for-3 at the plate and
Nicole Smith (Milton, Pa./Milton) was 2-for-4 in the game-one win.
In game two, Pfeiffer scored the winning-run in the bottom of the eighth inning to take home the, 4-3 win.
Lock Haven's three runs came off eight hits.
Chelsea Edwards (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) was 2-for-4 with a two-run home in the top of the seventh. The two run shot tied the game at 3-3 as Lock Haven looked to rally on the road.
Alyssa Smith (Barrington, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) added a 2-for-4 plate appearance.
The Lady Eagles are right back at it tomorrow (Wednesday, March 20) at Chowan (DH – 1 p.m.).

Brianna Jennings, who transferred from the Univ. of Delaware mid-year is now 6-0 in circle. She has an ERA of 1.09 and a team-high 32 strikeouts.
