Softball sweeps road doubleheader from Philadelphia Univ.

Haven takes game one, 9-7and game two, 11-3

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PHILADELPHIA – The Lock Haven University softball team (3-1) swept a doubleheader with Philadelphia University (0-2) this afternoon in non-conference action.

The Lady Eagles took game one, 9-7 and went on to win game two, 11-3.

Bridgette Clarke (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) led the way for The Haven in game one.  Clarke went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored.

Alicia Cacciotti (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) was 2-for-4 in the game with an RBI and a run scored of her own.

Nicole Smith (Milton, Pa./Milton) was the winning pitcher for LHU.

The Lady Eagles had the bats rolling in the game two win.

Cacciotti had a big game at the plate for LHU.  She went 3-for-3, including a three-run homerun and tallied three RBIs.

Clarke went 2-for-2 with two RBIs in game two.

Alyssa Smith (Barrington, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) was 3-for-3 in game two and scored two runs.

Brianna Jennings (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing) got the win for LHU.  Jennings struck out four batters in five innings of work.

The Lady Eagles are right back in action tomorrow (March 3) when LHU travels to Goldey-Beacom for a doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.

- Bridgette Clarke went 5-for-6 today and drove in five RBIs.
- Alicia Cacciotti went 5-for-7 and plated four RBIs.
- Cacciotti hit a three-run homerun in game two.
- The Haven plays a doubleheader with Goldey-Beacom tomorrow (March 3).
