Box Score 2 MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Lock Haven University softball team (11-4) split a doubleheader today (Wednesday) at Chowan (12-14).
Lock Haven won game one, 7-1 behind a sensational individual effort from
Brianna Jennings (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing), but the Lady Eagles dropped game two, 4-2.
Jennings improved to 7-0 in circle, throwing a one-hitter in the process. She struck out eight on the way to the win. She helped her own cause, going 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs.
Brittany Favazza (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) was 2-for-4 with a RBI, while
Nikki Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) drove in a pair of runs.
Lock Haven scored its seven runs on 10 hits.
In the game two loss, Weaknecht was 2-for-3 at the plate.
Lock Haven's two runs came off eight hits.
Lock Haven is scheduled to a play two at the University of Sciences (Philadelphia) on Saturday, March 23 at noon.
