Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BUTLER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (5-9) split a doubleheader with Slippery Rock (14-5) today in PSAC West action at Pullman Park in Butler, Pa.

The Bald Eagles won game one in dramatic fashion, 4-3, before falling in game two, 3-0.

The Bald Eagles trailed 3-0 through the first six innings of game one, but The Haven scored four runs in the seventh inning to pick up the 4-3 win.

Slippery Rock took the lead early, as The Rock scored one run in the first inning and added two more runs in the third to take the 3-0 lead.

Lock Haven managed just one hit through the first six innings off of Rock starter Lou Trivino, but The Haven bats awoke in the seventh.

After Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate Univ.) and Matt Hendrixson (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) each walked to lead off the seventh, Jose Diaz (Oak Ridge, N.J./Gloucester County College) singled up the middle to score Botts from second and cut the SRU lead to 3-1.

LHU then loaded the bases with nobody out on a Slippery Rock error and senior Jay Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Hendrixson and trimming the lead to 3-2.

Sophomore Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) tied the game at 3-3 with a sacrifice fly that scored Diaz.

The speedy Hartman then stole second base to get into scoring position and Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) drove in the go-ahead run on a single to left field.

Madison Neddo (Earlville, Md./Coppin State Univ.) picked up his second win of the season for LHU.

Neddo started on the mound and threw all seven innings.  The sophomore right-hander seemed to get stronger as the game went on, as he did not allow a hit after the third inning.

Neddo struck out seven batters on the afternoon and recorded his second straight complete for LHU.

Zuback led LHU with two hits in game one.

Hartman stole two bases for The Haven.

Slippery Rock used a quick start in game two to pick up the 3-0.

The Rock plated all three of the runs in the first inning off of Haven starter Parker Watson (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola).

Joe Nestor (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) came out of the bullpen for LHU in the first inning and threw the rest of the game without allowing a run.

Nestor stuck out five batters and allowed just one hit in 5.2 innings of work.

Hartman had Lock Haven's only hit in game two, a fifth inning single off of Rock starter Kyle Schneider.

Schneider faced just one batter over the minimum and recorded four strikeouts.

Today's doubleheader was played at Pullman Park in Butler, Pa.  The games were moved to the turf field because of unplayable field conditions at Slippery Rock.

Lock Haven's home doubleheader with SRU, which was postponed earlier in the week, has yet to be rescheduled.

The Bald Eagles return to action Tuesday, March 26 when LHU travels to Bloomsburg for a single nine inning game.  First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
