Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (7-11, 3-3 PSAC) split a road doubleheader at Gannon (11-7, 5-1 PSAC) today in a PSAC West clash.

The Bald Eagles dropped game one, 7-0, but came back to take game two, 9-2.

Gannon entered today's games in first place in the PSAC Western..

Aaron Cox threw a five-hit shutout in for the Golden Knights in game one.

Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate) led The Haven with two hits in the game.  Botts went 2-for-3 with a double.

Parker Watson (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) started on the mound for LHU.  Watson allowed nine hits in six innings of work.  He struck out three.

Lock Haven battled back and took game two, 9-2.

LHU and Gannon were tied 1-1 through the first four innings of the crucial second game.

With two on and two outs in the top of the fifth inning, Botts came to the plate for The Haven and smacked a three-run homerun to give LHU its first lead of the day, 4-1.

Leading 4-2 in the sixth, The Haven tacked on five insurance runs to pull away for the 9-2 win.

Alec Jacob (Newtown, Pa./Pennsbury) picked up his second win of the season in a complete game effort.  Jacob allowed just four hits and struck out two.

Botts finished 2-for-2 with a homerun, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Tyler Yesensky (Endwell, N.Y./Old Dominion Univ.) and Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) each went 2-for-4 with a double.

Zuback scored three runs and added a stolen base.

Anthony Kyne (Newtown Square, Pa./Penn State Brandywine) and Josh Jones (Neelyton, Pa./Southern-Huntingdon) both went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Lock Haven and Gannon close out their weekend series tomorrow (March 30) when LHU hosts the Golden Knights at Foundation Field.  First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
