Rehrig is set to compete in three events, starting with the 50-yard freestyle tomorrow. She'll also compete in the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday and she'll cap off her championship with the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday.
The Haven senior-standout is looking to cap off an already impressive career this week in Birmingham.
Arguably one of the most best Lady Eagle swimmers in history, Rehrig is already a six-time All-American, three-time Academic American and she holds nine school records.
First-year, LHU head coach
Joel Blesh knows his senior is aiming to end her career in style.
“She's coming off a great PSAC meet, where she set school records and we are looking for the final three events at NCAA's to be a wonderful conclusion to her remarkable career.
According to Blesh, Rehrig was right back at work after the PSAC meet, hasn't lost focus and is prepared for this meet.
Blesh also noted just how much Rehrig has meant to the program.
“She's a special kind of athlete than you just can't help, but be excited about when she gets in the water,” said Blesh. “She's left a huge impact here on campus.”
“Rehrig's been a model student-athlete, she's leads by example and has done everything I've ever asked of her.
