Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) drove in the game winning run in both games today, as the Lock Haven University baseball team (13-16, 8-8 PSAC West) swept both games of a doubleheader today against PSAC Western Division leading California (Pa.) (23-10, 9-3 PSAC West).

Henritzy hit a walk-off single in game one to give The Haven a 6-5 win.  Henritzy plated the winning run in game two on a bunt single in the sixth inning, securing a 2-1 LHU win.

California (Pa.) led 3-1 through three innings in game one, but LHU cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth and with a runner on third and one out, Henritzy executed a suicide squeeze that tied the game at 3-3.

The game was still even at 3-3 in the sixth when Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate Univ.) crushed a two-run homer to left field, putting The Haven ahead, 5-3.

After the Vulcans evened the game at 5-5 in the top of the seventh, LHU loaded the bases with nobody out and Henritzy lofted a single down the left field line that drove in the game-winning run.

Henritzy was 2-for-3 in game one with two RBIs.

Botts and Jay Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) each went 3-for-4 for LHU.

Parker Watson (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) started on the mound and threw six innings.  He allowed three runs on four hits in the no-decision.

Garrett Shnyder (Montgomery, Pa./Montgomery) recorded the final two outs in the seventh  and picked up his second win of the season.

Game two featured a pitchers dual between LHU's Madison Neddo (Earlville, Md./Coppin State Univ.) and CAL's Mick Fennell.

Neddo scattered five hits in six innings of work, allowing just one run, while Fennell gave up three hits and was charged with two runs in six innings.

The game was tied 1-1 in the sixth when Josh Jones (Neelyton, Pa./Southern-Huntingdon) started a Haven rally with a leadoff walk.  Hartman came to the plate next for LHU and laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to third base and a speedy and aware Jones moved to an open third base on the play.

With the infield in, Henritzy laid down another squeeze bunt that he beat out at first base, scoring Jones in the process.

Alec Jacob (Newtown, Pa./Pennsbury) came in to pitch in the seventh with a runner on first  and nailed down his first save of the season.

The two wins improve Lock Haven's record to 8-8 in the PSAC West, as the Bald Eagles have split all four series against conference opponents.

The Bald Eagles are back in action Tuesday, April 16 when LHU hosts Mansfield in a single nine inning game.  First pitch from Foundation Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.
