Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team dropped game one of a PSAC crossover doubleheader to visiting East Stroudsburg, 2-0, before game two was washed out in the fifth inning because of severe weather.
Lock Haven (24-8) dropped game one to ESU (18-14), 2-0 after the Warriors got a strong pitching effort from Laura Suits. The Haven led 4-0 in game two, but the game was called with two outs in the top of the fifth because of the severe weather in the Lock Haven area.
ESU posted two runs in the top of the fifth inning and that proved to be the biggest difference in the win. Suits was the story as she pitched a one-hitter.
Game 2 is not official and does not count as a win for Lock Haven. Individual statistics do not count.
The Lady Eagles get right back at it tomorrow (Saturday, April 20) at 2:30 p.m. when they host Clarion in an important PSAC Central doubleheader. Tomorrow also marks Lock Haven's 2013 Senior Day.
