Box Score 2 JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (14-20) dropped both games of a doubleheader to Pitt-Johnstown (24-17) today in non-conference, road action.
LHU fell in game one, 18-7 and dropped game two, 10-2.
The two teams combined for 38 hits in game one.
Leading the way at the plate for LHU was senior
Jay Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley), who went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Anthony Kyne (Newtown Square, Pa./Penn State Brandywine) went 2-for-3 with a team-high three RBIs.
Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) was 2-for-3 with a double.
UPJ's John Fees picked up his fifth win of the season in five innings of work.
The Bald Eagles tallied seven hits in the game two loss.
Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and
Jose Diaz (Oak Ridge, N.J./Gloucester County College) led The Haven with two hits each.
Henritzy went 2-for-4 and Diaz was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Zuback and
Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate Univ.) both doubled for LHU.
UPJ's 10 runs came on 15 hits and starting pitcher Kody Reighard picked up the win in six innings of work.
The Bald Eagles are back in action Tuesday, April 23 when LHU travels to Shippensburg in a PSAC crossover matchup. Tuesday's single, nine inning game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
