Box Score 2 LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University volleyball team (7-3) picked up a pair of wins today as the Lady Eagles played host to the LHU Classic.
Lock Haven opened the day with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20 & 25-21) win over Concord and The Haven followed it up with a thrilling come-from-behind win over the University of the Sciences. LHU came back from down 2-1 to win in five, 3-2 (25-18, 13-25, 23-25, 25-23 & 15-6).
Leading the way for LHU vs. Concord was
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle), who had a match-high 16 kills.
Strong play from
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) and
Bethany Burns (Erie, Pa./McDowell) helped pave the way for the victory. Brown dished out 31 assists and Burns added 22 digs.
Stephanie Doherty (East Early, Pa./Garden Spot) added four blocks in the win.
Kaleigh Hudak (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom High) led the way in the come-from-behind win over University of the Sciences. She hit .412 with 16 kills.
Flick also had another strong match offensively, and finished with 13 kills.
Bailey Farthing (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) and
Kendra Fetzer (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) chipped in with eight and seven kills, respectively.
Brown was again a big key for LHU with 46 assists. She added 12 digs and Burns tallied 25 digs in the win.
LHU is right back it tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 21) at the LHU Classic. The Haven plays Ohio Valley (11:30 a.m.) and Dominican (7 p.m.).

Match Notes:
- LHU finally returned home to play after the first eight matches on the road. All eight matches came in tournament play as this is the third straight tournament for LHU to start the season.
- LHU went 1-3 at last week's Ashland Tournament.
- The Lady Eagles are the first team to officially play on the new Thomas Fieldhouse court, which was redone over the summer.
- Last weekend
Megan Flick was named to the All-Tournament Team at Ashland.
