Haven QB Dillon Mazzoni passed for career-high 206 yards

Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University football team fell to No. 11 Bloomsburg, 56-10 today on the road in PSAC East action.
 
Despite a career day from quarterback Dillon Mazzoni (Melbourne, Fla./Shippensburg) and a TD on the first play of the game, Lock Haven (2-2, 1-1 PSAC East) didn't have enough to spark an upset of the 11th ranked Huskies (4-0, 2-0 PSAC East).
 
Brandon Brader (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) caught a pass from Mazzoni on the very first play from scrimmage and took the ball 73 yards for a touchdown to put LHU up 7-0 just 15 seconds into the game.
 
Mazzoni finished 14-of-26 passing with one TD and one interception. His 206 yards-passing were a career-best.
 
Brader caught three passes for a team-high 80 yards. He also carried the ball seven times for 17 yards. He's now just three yards away from LHU's all-time No. 4 spot with 2,087 career rushing yards.
 
Jesse Hoover (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville) was once again Mazzoni's main target. Hoover finished with a game-high five catches for 49 yards.
 
Defensively, Lock Haven got another sensational effort from George Christas (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) and Tony Ballon (Jersey City, N.J./Harrisburg). Both Christas and Ballon made eight tackles a piece. Christas had seven solo stops, a tackle for a loss and an interception.
 
Following Brader's TD to open the game, Bloomsburg went on to score 21 first-quarter points.
 
Leading the Huskie attack was running back Franklyn Quiteh, who went over 6,000 rushing yards for his career today. He rushed for 205 yards and three TDs today. He also caught a touchdown pass in the win.
 
Lock Haven plays on the road for the second straight game next weekend (Saturday, October 6) as the Bald Eagles travel to former PSAC West foe Edinboro (2 p.m.).

- RB Brandon Brader is just three rushing yards away from the No. 4 spot on Lock Haven's all-time career rushing list.
- It marks the first time since 1992, that Lock Haven entered Week 4 with a 2-1 record.
- Today was Lock Haven's first-ever PSAC East road game. Last Saturday was LHU's first-ever PSAC East game and the Bald Eagles first PSAC Divisional win since the 2007 season-finale.
- No. 11 Bloomsburg is Lock Haven's first ranked opponent this year.
- Next week marks LHU's second of three scheduled PSAC West crossover games.
