Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (2-12) fell on the road today to West Chester (10-5), 91-65 in conference matchup.
 
Senior-forward Kelsey Ryan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) anchored The Haven with an all-around performance today. 

Ryan recorded her first double-double of the season with  a season-high 13 rebounds and 12 points.  In 29 minutes of action Ryan shot 100% from the free throw line.
 
The Lady Eagles began the first half going toe-to-toe with the Golden Rams of West Chester until WCU broke away with an, 19-8 lead.
 
LHU shot 66.67% from the free throw line in the first half as WCU claimed an, 36-27 advantage at the break.
 
Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) and Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier Valley) tried to spark the Haven offense early in the second half with two jumpers to cut the, 40-37 Golden Rams lead.  WCU responded with a 15-point run to extend their lead to, 55-37.
 
LHU continued to battle in the second half but fell to a 15-point run by the Golden Rams. The Lady Eagles could not regain momentum as the Golden Rams earned the win.
 
Moyer recorded another consistent game for the Lady Eagles, netting a team-high 13 points in 30 minutes.  Moyer added 5 rebounds and a pair of assists.  
 
Sophomore-guard J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) added a season-high, 12 points and dished out a team-high five assists.  Daugherty added 11 points in 24 minutes.
 
Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) was quick to defend grabbing eight rebounds for The Haven.  Mealing recorded a pair of steals and two assists.
 
Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock) and Hannah Gildea (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) added six rebounds, respectively.
 
Kendall Benovy led WCU with a game-high 18 points.  Keisha Steele-Hook grabbed 12 rebounds in the win.
 
LHU shot 61.5% from the free throw line and grabbed 46 total rebounds.
 
Lock Haven returns to action Wednesday (January 15) against Mansfield in PSAC East action at Thomas Fieldhouse (6 p.m.).
