LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team (2-8, 0-3 EWL) fell to No. 14 Edinboro University (5-3, 3-0 EWL) 37-3 tonight at home in Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) action.
 
Dylan Caprio (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) prevented the shutout with a hard-fought 3-2 win at 174 pounds.
 
Edinboro, whose lineup features eight nationally ranked wrestlers, won nine of 10 bouts and the Fighting Scots racked up bonus points in five of their wins on the way to the 12^th straight win over Lock Haven.
 
Caprio trailed Patrick Jennings 2-1 after two periods, but rallied for the win.
 
Caprio, who started the third period down scored a reversal 30 seconds into the third and rode out the period for the huge win.
 
At 141, nationally-ranked Dan Neff (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) gave top-ranked Mitchell Port all he could handle, but Port came away with the 4-1 decision.
 
It was another battle of nationally-ranked wrestlers at 184 and Edinboro's Vic Avery (#17) edged No. 25 Fred Garcia (Donora, Pa./Ringgold), 3-2.
 
125-pound Kaleb LeMaire (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Caesar Rodney) also turned in a sensational effort, but was edged by No. 18 Kory Mines 4-2.
 
Several Bald Eagles will travel to tomorrow's (Sunday, Jan. 19) Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic, hosted by Millersville University.
 
The Bald Eagles return to dual action Friday, Jan. 31 at Clarion University (7 p.m.).
