Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (4-13, 2-5 PSAC East) fell to visiting Millersville (10-7, 5-2 PSAC East) tonight, 74-47.
The Lady Eagles played right with the Marauders throughout much of the first half, but Millersville closed the opening period with an, 37-27 advantage.
Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) and
Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) led LHU with 10 points, respectively. Mealing added eight rebounds.
The Lady Eagles continued to battle in the second period, but the Marauders proved to be to tough down the stretch.
Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock) recorded seven points and added three steals. Sophomore
J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) added seven points.
Senior
Kelsey Ryan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists in 21 minutes.
The Lady Eagles shot 72.7% from the free throw line.
Celeste Robinson led Millersville with a game-high 19 points and six rebounds.
Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, January 25 at Cheyney (1 p.m.).
