THE BROOMS ARE OUT
On Monday, the Bald Eagles swept the weekly PSAC East awards. For the second time in three weeks, junior
Wali Hepburn was named the PSAC East Player of the Week and for the first time in his career, rookie
Bootsie Walker was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Week.
2. AT IT AGAIN
On Wednesday night, Lock Haven's "Big Three" – Hepburn, Walker and
Kasheef Festus were at it again leading LHU to a 76-71 win over Millersville. The win pushed LHU to 4-3 in the Eastern Division standings (fourth place). Hepburn had 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Walker had 17 points on a perfect 7-for-7 night from the free-throw line. He added nine rebounds. Festus recorded 15 points and nine rebounds.
3. MORE OF THE SAME
Hepburn entered the season as the PSAC's top-returning scorer and this year it's been more of the same. He's averaging 22.0 points per game, the second-most in the league. He'll square off with the PSAC's leading scorer, Cheyney's Deshawn Curtis (22.1 pts./gm.) on Saturday.
