CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (5-6-1, 4-2 PSAC) was shutout 2-0 today on the road at California (Pa.) University (4-7-1, 3-3 PSAC) in a thrilling PSAC battle.
Jeffrey Kyei scored both goals in the second half for the Vulcans. He put Cal up 1-0 in the 53
rd minute and iced the game in the 89
th.
Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post East) made two saves for The Haven.
Tyler Weikert (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) did all he could to spark Lock Haven's attack with a pair of shots.
The loss drops LHU to 4-2 in PSAC play. As of press time, Lock Haven had 12 points in conference play and the Bald Eagles currently sit in a tie for second in the PSAC standings.
Lock Haven returns to action tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 15) at 5:30 p.m. on the road at Slippery Rock in PSAC action.
