INDIANA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (2-6, 2-3 PSAC) fell on the road to No. 24 Indiana (Pa.) (9-2, 3-2 PSAC), 92-69 tonight in a PSAC crossover matchup.
Lock Haven, who picked up a big road win at Pitt-Johnstown last night, was unable to overcome a, 53-35 halftime deficit to the Crimson Hawks.
Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann-Goretti), the PSAC's leading scorer, had another solid all-around night for The Haven.
Hepburn scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. He added six rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
Nate Walters (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) and
Dave Garcia (Scotrun, Pa./Pocono Mt. East) also scored in double-figures for LHU with 10 points each.
Walters tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
Theo West (Philadelphia/Kensington) chipped in with nine points and three rebounds.
Ra'eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) added seven points off the bench.
IUP clicked on all cylinders offensively. The Crimson Hawks shot 60.0% from the field in the game and 52.8% on three-pointers.
Brandon Norfleet led four Crimson Hawks in double-figures with 21 points.
The Bald Eagles return to action Saturday when LHU returns home to face Seton Hill in a PSAC crossover matchup. Tipoff from PSECU Court at Thomas Fieldhouse is set for 3 p.m.
