Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (13-7, 6-4 PSAC East) was edged, 77-76 in the final minutes of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East thriller at Bloomsburg University (11-8, 7-3 PSAC East) today.
Kasheef Festus (Philadelphia/Archbishop Carroll) led all scorers with a game-high 18 points. He was one of four Bald Eagles in double-figures.
Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann-Goretti) netted 14 points, while
Nate Walters (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) and
Al Blount (Northampton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) each scored 10.
Walters also had a team-high eight rebounds.
Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) and
Theo West (Philadelphia/Kensington) both added eight points apiece.
Festus was 7-for-12 from the field on the way to his 18 points.
West added five rebounds, while Blount, Hepburn and Walker all grabbed four.
Bloomsburg was led by five players in double-figures, including Dontahe Jordan, who had 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Lock Haven led by two at the break, 36-34 and held the lead late, but Bloomsburg's Jon Riles hit a jumper with just nine seconds left to put the Huskies up for good. LHU did have a chance to tie, but couldn't cap the last-second effort.
Lock Haven returns to action on Wednesday (Feb. 5) night at home (8 p.m.) vs. No. 6 East Stroudsburg.
