Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team extended its win streak to seven games with a doubleheader sweep of visiting East Stroudsburg University today.

Lock Haven (14-21, 9-11 PSAC East) won game one, 5-2 and took game two, 3-2 on a walk off East Stroudsburg (9-18, 4-8 PAC East) wild pitch.

Less than two weeks ago, LHU was swept (0-2) at East Stroudsburg.

Game 1 Recap:

After giving up two runs in the top of the first inning, Haven pitcher Rachel Mouillesseaux (Endicott, N.Y./Union Endicott) settled in and dominated ESU on the way to the win. Over seven innings she allowed just six hits and the two runs. She walked only one and fanned seven.

McKenna Garlock (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) put LHU right back in the game with one swing of the bat in the bottom of the first. Her fourth home run of the year cut the ESU lead to 2-1.

In the third inning, Garlock scored again, this time on a wild pitch, before Jodi Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) drove in a pair of runs for the 4-2 lead.

Michelle Holweger (Landsdale, Pa./North Penn) drove in a run in the fourth to cap the game-one scoring.

Weaknecht recorded two of Lock Haven's four game-one hits.

Game 2 Recap:

With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh and a storm fast approaching, pinch-runner Morgan Palmer (Canton, Pa./Canton) broke for home on a wild pitch, diving head first into home plate for the win.

LHU jumped on ESU early in game two, plating a run in the bottom of the first after Chelsea Edwards (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) doubled to left field, driving in Holweger.

The Lady Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the third when Taylor Magee (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) drove in Garlock on a single down the right field line.

Starting pitcher Jessie Probst (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) was perfect through 4 2/3 innings before hitting a jam.

Probst allowed just two hits and struck out a pair, before giving way to Mouillesseaux, who picked up the win.

Mouillesseaux didn't give up a hit and struck out two over the final 2 1/3 innings.

Holweger was 2-for-4 and Garlock went 3-for-4 at the plate in game two.

Lock Haven returns to action on Friday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Bloomsburg.
