Game 1 Recap:

The Bald Eagles received a tremendous pitching performance from freshman starter Jacob Belinda (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) in the game one win.

Belinda turned the ball over to freshman Cody Godfrey (Windsor, Pa./Red Lion) in the ninth and Godfrey converted his first save of his career, shutting the Red Raiders down in order.

Lock Haven trailed, 2-1 heading into the seventh inning, but The Haven rallied and took advantage of a Shippensburg throwing error to even the game at, 2-2.

With two outs in the ninth, Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) singled home the go-ahead run to give LHU the lead, 3-2.

The Bald Eagles added an insurance run on a wild pitch to make it a, 4-2 game, which was plenty of cushion for Godfrey in the ninth.

Zuback went 3-for-5 in the game with a stolen base.

Tyler Yesensky (Endwell, N.Y./Old Dominion Univ.) was 2-for-3 in the win.

Game 2 Recap:

Shippensburg won game two, 3-0.  Marcus Shippey picked up the win for the Red Raiders.  He struck out nine in 6.2 innings and allowed four hits.

Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) made his first career start on the mound for LHU.  He threw six innings and struck out two in the loss.

Petersheim also had one of The Haven's four hits in the game.

Ryan Henritzy (Newtown Square, Pa./Council Rock North), Anthony Kyne (Newtown, Pa./Penn State Brandywine) and Pierce Ranck (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) also had singles in the game.
